Tablets
Generic name: Sennosides A & B.
Composition: Active ingredients: Extract of the Senna’s leaves (Cassia acutifolia)
(Contains 20% Sennosides A & B calcium salts) – 0,07 g.
Inactive ingredients: Lactose,
starch, povidone, vanillin, nipagin, sodium laurylsulphate, talcum, calcium stearate.
Paramedical mean is made on the
basis of Senna's leaves (The Alexandria leaf) (Cassia angustifolia Vahl. Cassia acutifolia Del.
Caesalpiniaceae – Fabaceae).
Leaves of the plant contain
anthraglycosides: Sennosides A &
B and other anthracenederivative: rhein,
aloe-emodin; flavone glycosides – izoramnetine, kempferol, kempferin, organic acids (linol, stearine,
palmitin and etc.), phytosterin,
phytosterolin, polysaccharides and signs of alkaloids.
Pharmacological operation: Phytogenous cathartic
(anthraglycosides sum of Senna’s leaves) Causes irritation of intestine mucous
membrane receptors, reflectory reinforces peristalsis (especially large intestine), which stipulates quick bowel emptying, regeneration of
its normal working rhythm. Doesn’t prevent digestion. The preparation starts
operation after 8-12 hours from intake.
Indications: Constipation (hypotonia and atony of the gastrointestinal tract, large intestine peristalsis slow, including post operation period after delivery).
Administration
and dosage rule: Is taken orally.
Adults and children more than 12 years – 1 or 2 tablets in the evening
before sleep. In case of lack of effect dosage can be increased after several
days up to 2-3 tablets for one intake.
Children from 1 to 6 years: one third of adults’ dose for one intake in
the evening, before sleep.
Children from 6 to 12 years: half of adults’ dose for one intake in the
evening, before sleep.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity towards
preparation components, intestinal impassability, strangulated hernia, acute
inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs, peritonitis, bleedings from gastrointestinal tract, metrorrhagia, cystitis, mucous colitis,
water-electrolytic metabolism disorder.
Attention:
Preparation is carefully prescribed
during lactation and pregnancy period.
For children up to 6 age, in case of liver and kidney insufficiency, post
operation period.
Side effects:
Preparation cathartic may accompany
abdomen colicky pain. At time of overdose there develop reinforced gasification
and diarrhea. Is such case dosage should be reduced and interrupted
preparation.
Production form: 10 tablets
on the blister.
Especial instructions: At time of treatment, urine color is getting yellowish-brown or
reddish - violet. It shouldn’t cause anxiety: as natural color of urine will
restore after preparation interruption.
Interaction with other medicines:
Prevents tetracycline absorption.

Usage of preparation is forbidden
after expire or defect as a result of visual check.
