DRUG
FORM: Solution for local application.
STRUCTURE: g/ 100g.
Active substance: iodine - 1 g;
Excipients:
potassium iodide, the glycerin, distilled water.
PHARMACOLOGICAL
OPERATION: Because content of elementary iodine,
solution of Lugol is characterized by bactericidal action. Elementary iodine characters antimicrobial
action on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including staphylococcs,
streptococci, escherichia
coli,
klebsiellae.
For preparations of elementary iodine
characters local irritant action, and in high concentration - surface
cauterizing effect.
Glycerin reduces edema of tissues, on the
skin surface and mucous membrane forms a protective layer.
INDICATIONS:
Is used locally.
•
Infectious and inflammatory diseases of gullet and larynx
mucous membranes (tonsillitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis);
• Angular stomatitis;
ORDER OF INTAKE
AND DOSAGE:
It is used locally, applying on gullet and larynx
mucous membranes.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
Iodism signs can develop: rhinitis, rash on the skin, nettle-rash, salivation, lacrimation,
contact dermatitis, erythema, dryness of skin, itch, nausea, vomiting,
bronchismus, angioedema (it is noted in some patients because of preparation
smell), redness on the place of application.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
•
Hypersensitivity toward preparation components;
• Throat
dryness.
OVERDOSE: Symptoms of intoxication: iodism signs. Treatment: gastric lavage, symptomatic therapy.
SPECIAL
INSTRUCTIONS: In case of symptoms revealing caused by
overdose, urgently address to the doctor.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: The
preparation isn't used during pregnancy and lactation.
INTERACTION WITH
OTHER MEDICINES:
The preparation isn't used together with hydrogen peroxide and other
disinfectants.
THE FORM OF RELEASE: 25 g solution in a polyethylene
or glass vials.
THE ORDER OF DELIVERY:
III group pharmaceutical product-protrudes without the recipe.
VALIDITY: 2 years.
STORAGE
CONDITIONS:
Store on 15-25ºC temperature in a dark place and keep away from children.
In
case of visual defects and expiry of validity date, the preparation can not be
used.
