Composition and pharmacological properties: Chia's seed contains approximately 20% of proteins; 40% vegetable fat; 38 % carbohydrates (insoluble fiber, soluble cellulose, amino acids); omega 3, vitamins: A, B1, B2, B3, C, PP, K; micro and macro elements: Ca, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Se, Mg, Na, K, P.

100g Chia's seed corresponds to:

·                     454 ml milk, as a source of calcium;

·                     294 g oat, as a source of cellulose;

·                     900g orange, as a source of antioxidant;

·                     178 g banana, as a source of potassium;

·                     992 salmon, as a source of omega 3;

·                     216 g nut, as a source of magnesium;

·                     400g spinach, as a source of iron.

Chia's seed contains great amount of nutrients and at the same time, calories with very small quantity.

 Chia's seed is the best source of antioxidants which is necessary for the preservation of health and youth.

Chia's seed promotes weight loss. It contains great amount of insoluble carbohydrates, which is why it can absorb 12 times more water than its weight, therefore it gives feeling of nibbling. This is added to the plentiful content of proteins and amino acids, which is one of the factors determining the loss of appetite and disappearance of food intake desire.

Chia's seed also regulates the proper function of the gastrointestinal tract.

Content of calcium in Chia's seed is 5 times more rather than in milk, proteins are 2 times more than in grain seeds, potassium is 2 times more than in banana, omega-3 9 times more than in fish and etc. Therefore, intake of Chia's seed brings strength, energy, and health.

Chia's seed improves brain work.

Chia's seed strengthens the teeth and bones.

Chia's seed contains great amount of omega 3 and omega 6 that is important for heart, in order to decrease cholesterol level in blood.

Clinical studies have shown that systematic administration regulates blood viscosity and reduces the risk of thrombosis.

Way of administration and dose: For children under 14 years the daily dose is 1 or 2 teaspoon. For elders, the daily dose is 1 or 2 table spoons.

Chia's seed extends 10 to 12 times in the liquid. Therefore, before taking it is recommended to wet and wait till it absorbs the required amount of liquid.

1 tablespoon of the seeds is poured 150 - 200 ml of cold or boiling water, milk or fruit juice and is stayed for 15 - 20 minutes. It is administered one time in a day.

It can also be administered with cereals and other foods.

In case of using Chia's seed for medical purpose, thermal treatment of seed is not desirable, because the majority of substances are dissolved.

Duration of treatment shouldn’t exceed to 12 weeks (continuously). However, treatment course can be continued after a break.

Side effects: It may cause gas accumulation, diarrhea, rash on the skin. In such cases administration is not recommended or dose reduction is required.

Contraindication: Administration during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended, because there isn’t appropriate studying data.

It isn’t recommended at time of low blood pressure. 

Do not administer with aspirin.

Note: It does not matter whether you are healthy or not, everybody needs Chia’s seed daily: it's enough to add in salads or in various dishes systematically (like salt).
